La Ruche : Accommodation

The chalet was originally built around 1876 starting life as a farmhouse and was converted into a small hotel sometime in the 1930's (in fact it was the first hotel in Les Carroz). It was then then modernized in the early 1980's to feature 5 family suites.

Since owning the chalet in 2003 we have extensively renovated and decorated it - keeping the traditional Savoyarde feel and tone.

Each suite comprises of a large room with bunk beds and sofa/sofa-bed, a separate double bedroom plus self contained bathroom and toilet. The arrangement of beds can be set to accommodate your needs - each suite will accommodate 2 adults and up to 4 children.

It is superbly positioned close to the town centre but away from traffic and noisy bars.

There is a separate dining room / lounge and a TV room. There is a wide selection of videos (kids and adults),

The dining area (shown opposite) of our chalet can seat up to 26 people though in practice, other than on special occaisions it is never that crowded!

It can also be set up for meetings and formal gatherings.

The comfortable guest lounge is the ideal place to unwind after a busy day - there is a bar and fridge for your cold drinks and beer, plus a small library of books that is continually evolving as guests either leave books or take them away to finish at home.

It is this area which is cleared to make space for our guests to practice their yoga.
